Dr. Jesse A. Egbert

Jesse Egbert (Ph.D. Applied Linguistics) is Associate Professor of applied linguistics at Northern Arizona University where he uses corpus linguistics to research language variation and statutory interpretation. In the past eight years, Dr. Egbert has authored or co-authored more than 75 peer-reviewed publications, including six books. He teaches courses on corpus linguistics, sociolinguistics, computer programming, and statistical methods. He has served as an expert witness in cases relating to trademark genericity and infringement.
